Review: I would highly recommend everyone stay away from this company! They did my asphalt driveway 9 months ago and it's already falling apart and cracking all over.I've contacted them for the 1 year warranty and they had an excuse for every situation.I spent over 13k on this driveway and it didn't last 9 months.Spend the extra money and hire someone reputable!! They will hear from my attorney soon enough.

Review: Stay away. They attempted to breach contract by only applying 1 layer of chip and seal. After a security camera caught them, they came back to complete the job. It was expressed in writing and verbal they need to protect the brand new building they were working next to. They promptly threw caution to the wind (and oil) and spattered oil all over the building. The owner Ed told us he would personally come in the morning to clean but never showed up. After the second coating of chip and seal was applied, his employees asked for payment, but payment was refused as the job was still not completed, due to oil all over my shop siding. After refusing payment, they finally sent someone to clean their mess. The "special cleaner" they used was gasoline. I asked multiple times for an invoice and got to the point of again refusing payment until some form of paperwork was provided. After dealing with his very disrespectful brother (being ridiculed for not even knowing the company name as they wouldn't provide paperwork) I gave the check and asked for a receipt of payment. They refused to provide a receipt for payment and are now trying to play the "we lost the check you need to write us another one" game in a final attempt to scam me. They are literally blaming me for the carelessness of their own employee who showed up on motorcycle, speeding through our neighborhood, mouthing off the customers, and disrespecting women.Updated: the owner continues harass me and continues to demand a double payment for the job. I agreed to cancel and reissue the check, but he demand a second check immediately, not affording the opportunity to cancel the "lost" check.

Review: Chip and Seal Review - The shop driveway looks great! However, the process of getting there was not so great. The owner of the company, Ed, and his brother do not belong in the customer service industry. They got the job done quick. Came out on 9/24/24, quoted, had the team lined up and here ready to get to work within 30 minutes of us approving the quote. We thought great! Problem solved quickly!Prior to the work being done, we confirmed that they would do two coats of tar and gravel as that appeared to be industry standard - they said yes. We confirmed that they would cover the shop building to avoid getting any tar on the shop - they said yes. I texted requesting, again, that they be sure the shop is covered so no overspray gets on it.I never received a response from the owner prior to the team starting the work and after having dealt with past issues with contractors we have hired I decided to record the team while they worked in case any issues arose. The team was done within a couple hours and it looked great, so I texted him asking that he come by after 2pm for payment as I would be busy with work. No response. When my fiancé got home, we went out to look and noticed the top gravel was super loose and there was overspray across the bottom of our entire shop building. Both were issues we attempted to avoid but we figured we'd talk to Ed about it when he returned that evening for the check.Review of the video shows the team only completed one layer rather than two, and then took off. They only used a small board to block the shop from overspray. We contacted Ed and he called my fiancé and told us he'd be by in the morning to clean off the shop and collect payment while his team completed a second layer. We said great, and I texted him asking for a heads up on when they would be coming so I would be aware for work. No response again. The next morning on 9/25/24, his team showed up and completed the second layer as promised, although unannounced. The work looked great. But no sign of Ed to clean off the shop. Ed sent his brother back later in the afternoon to collect a check and I turned him away. I then texted Ed letting him know that I turned his brother away and that we would pay once he came to do a quality check and to clean off the shop as promised. No response. On 10/2/24, his team randomly shows up at the house again, unannounced, and cleans off the shop. We had no idea that they were coming but I went out and checked their work and they did a great job. I texted Ed letting him know his team did great and was very polite and professional, but that we didn't know he was coming so I didn't have a check prepared. He then, for the first time in the whole process, responded and stated he'd be by later in the evening for a check. And claims that he tried to let us know the team would be by the day before but he couldn't because of the phone outages that day.Later that evening, Ed's brother shows up to the house, unannounced, and collected the check. We let him know that we were displeased with the communication on Ed's side of things and would mention it in our review as it is not good customer service. Ed's brother was on the phone with Ed at the time and when he got off the phone he got on his street bike and sped off very unprofessionally. On 10/3/24, my fiancé received a text from Ed's brother stating that he had lost our check and needed us to write a new one. I'm not surprised he lost it after speeding off on his bike the way he did.Just know if you hire this company, the work you get will look great. But the process of getting there and not having your property damaged or being cheated out of half of what you pay for will be challenging. Communicating with the owner will also be a challenge and the brother, although he seems like he could be a good guy, has a slight attitude problem. I guess we'll see if they show up unannounced again today for another check.Picture added as proof we already paid as owner is saying we are trying to get out of paying.

Review: 10 months ago Ed Daly came out with Action Asphalt saying they had tar in their truck they were going to have to get rid of anyways because they had another job so they could cut us a great deal on chip n seal for our driveway. We gave this dude money to work on our road. We had already cut the road, we already had more than 4 in of rock that just needed to be rolled, and the chip n seal laid. This company came in, dug up all of our existing rock, damaged the condition of our road, and laid down minimal product that washed out after the first rain. Mr. Daly sent his crew back out 3 months later to "fix" the issue. His crew had a flat tire in the middle of doing the job, ran out of diesel and gas, and sat staring at the sky for several hours while they waited for someone to call someone to go to get diesel and gas. Be aware there is a gas station that carries both directly up the road. His crew was very unprofessional, left piles of my road (the base rock we had already laid ourselves) all over my yard. This is my road now. My husband and I have been trying to contact Mr. Daly since June and he continues to ignore our calls. He finally answered when my husband sent him pictures of our road. He said he would be out this week to fix it. Today is Friday with no sign of him all week. I just attempted to call him and he did not answer. Please see below for the quality you can expect from this company and Mr. Ed Daly.UPDATE: 2/15/24 Mr. Daly reached out to my husband and I offering to patch the areas of our road specifically pictured on our google review and had his crew at our home this week to do so indicating it will be a temporary patch to address the issues pictured with a more thorough fix to our road coming later this spring. Please see the updated pictures below of the areas addressed most recently.
